CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Three Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey players are ECAC Hockey Players of the Month, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
First year forward Sam Lipkin is the ECAC Rookie of the Month, while sophomores Collin Graf and Yaniv Perets earned Co-Forward and Goalie of the Month honors, respectively.
Lipkin finished the month with 10 points and on a four-game points streak, accumulating eight over that span. He had three, multi-point outings, including a three-point effort against Quarterfinal opponent Yale on February 17. He finished the regular season on the National Rookie of the Year Watch List.
Graf rounded out a stellar 2022-23 campaign with a 13-point month, recording a point in all but one game in February, finishing with five goals and eight assists. He enters the postseason as a key part of Quinnipiac's fourth-ranked offense, currently sitting in that position nationally in points per game (1.44) and seventh in the NCAA in assists per contest (0.88).
Perets is again one of the nation's best goaltenders, rounding out the month with an 8-0-0 record, 0.79 goals-against average and .958 save percentage. The sophomore netminder leads the nation entering the playoffs with a 1.55 goals-against average and .868 winning percentage. He's fifth nationally in save percentage, stopping .927 percent of shots on goal during the regular season.
The Bobcats return to the ice on Friday night, hosting Whitney Ave., rival Yale for a Best-of-3 ECAC Quarterfinal matchup. Puck drop on Friday and Saturday night is slated for 7 p.m., while an if-necessary Game 3 is slated for Sunday at 4 p.m.
