HAMDEN, Conn. – Sean Swenson led the offense with two RBIs as the Bobcats came up short in the 2023 home opener vs. St. John's, 15-5, on Saturday afternoon at the QU Baseball Field.

With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 5-10 overall on the season, while the Red Storm improved to 12-5 on the 2023 campaign with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Red Storm struck first for seven runs over the first six innings of action to jump to a 6-0 advantage. The Bobcats responded in the bottom of the sixth with two runs as Sean Swenson lined a two-run single to the outfield to trim the deficit to 7-2.

However, it wasn't enough as St. John's held on for the eventual 15-5 victory over Quinnipiac.
