BRONX, N.Y. – Sean Swenson, Matt Tesoriero and John Heitzman led the offense with an RBI apiece as the Bobcats downed Fordham, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon at Houlihan Park.
With the win, the Bobcats improved to 5-8 overall on the season, while the Rams fell to 3-12 on the 2023 campaign with the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats struck first for a run in fifth to break the scoreless tie. First-year John Heitzman led the inning off with a single, followed by an RBI double to left for Sean Swenson to give Quinnipiac a 1-0 lead.

Quinnipiac kept the pressure on, adding two more runs in the sixth. With runners on the corners, Matt Tesoriero dropped down a bunt single to push the Quinnipiac lead to 2-0. Heitzman immediately followed with an RBI double, extending the lead to 3-0.
The Rams responded with two runs in the seventh to trim the Bobcats' lead to 3-2.
