Svecula, Stjernegaard Earn Weekly Honors

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac men's soccer has earned a pair of MAAC weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022.

Tomas Svecula has been named Offensive Player of the Week, and Alexander Stjernegaard has been named the league's Rookie of the Week.

The Bobcats are coming off a 1-1 week. Quinnipiac defeated Sacred Heart, 5-0, on Wednesday afternoon (4:00 PM) in Hamden.

Svecula recorded a goal and two assists for the week. The senior has three goals and three assists for nine total points on the season – ranking second on the team in total scoring.

Stjernegaard also tallied one goal and two helpers in the win vs. SHU in Hamden. The first-year midfielder is up to a team-best four assists in 2022.

The Bobcats are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 21 in Hamden, playing host to Stonehill for the 2022 non-conference finale.
