Former MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year to Join Triumph as Club Enters Final Stretch of 2022 Season
GREENVILLE, SC – Former Quinnipiac men's soccer standout goalkeeper Jared Mazzola has signed a contract with the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club (USL League One), as announced by the organization on Aug. 18, 2022.
Mazzola, the spring 2021 MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year, played in 43 total games for the Bobcats during his collegiate career. The Katonah, New York-native made 177 total saves in that span, posting a 1.11 goals against average for his career. Mazzola saved 78.3% of all shots during his time at QU.
This will be Mazzola's first professional contract following two seasons in USL League Two. Mazzola spent the first half of 2022 at AFC Ann Arbor, where he recorded 270 minutes in the net and a .67 goals against average. Prior to Ann Arbor, the New York native appeared in five matches for the NY Red Bulls U23s in 2021.

Mazzola, who has been training with the team since the beginning of August, fills a need for Greenville after an injury to back-up keeper Ben Hale. Mazzola joins Derek Waldeck as the second signing of the week for the first-place Greenville Triumph as the club enters the final stretch of the 2022 League One season.
