BOSTON – The Boston Bruins have hired Quinnipiac women's ice hockey alum Danielle Marmer ('17) as Player Development and Scouting Assistant, as announced by the club on Thursday, July 14.
Marmer spent the 2021-22 season as one of 12 participants in the Boston Bruins Diversity and Inclusion Mentorship Program. This program partnered participants with a mentor in the Bruins Hockey Operations department and provided hands-on coaching and networking opportunities.
In her role, Marmer will work directly with Player Development Coordinator Adam McQuaid to help develop prospects throughout the entire Bruins system.
Marmer – who played at Quinnipiac as a forward from 2013-17 – has served as the Bobcats' Director of Player Development and Operations for the last three seasons under Head Coach Cassandra Turner. She focused on game video, player development and day-to-day team operations.
Before working with Quinnipiac, Marmer spent two years as an Assistant Coach for the Connecticut College women's ice hockey team. During her time there, she helped lead the team to a second-place finish in the NESCAC, along with a program record of 15 wins. She was involved in all aspects of recruiting, player evaluations, practices, film break-down and strength and conditioning.
Marmer was a forward for Quinnipiac women's hockey from 2013-2017 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies. She was a member of the historic 2015-16 ECAC Championship Team when the Bobcats finished with a program-best 30-3-5 record.

She played in 132 games for Quinnipiac and finished her career with two goals and 13 assists for 15 points. She was also named to Quinnipiac's Dean List five times and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Marmer was received the National Scholar Athlete Award, Quinnipiac Scholar Athlete Award and was named to the ECAC All-Academic Team four years in a row.
