
Chase Priskie, Brogan Rafferty Sign New NHL Contracts

Pair of 2019 Graduates Land New Deals on July 13, 2022
HAMDEN, Conn. - Former Quinnipiac men's ice hockey standouts Chase Priskie ('19) and Brogan Rafferty ('19) signed new NHL contracts on Wednesday, July 13.
Chase Priskie will depart the Florida Panthers and sign with the Buffalo Sabres on a one-year contract, while the Seattle Kraken signed defensemen Brogan Rafferty to a one-year/two-way deal.
Chase Priskie ('19)
Priskie concluded a standout career for the Bobcats in 2018-19 after serving as the team's captain for two years. He finished as the program's all-time leader for goals by a defenseman with 39, was second among defensemen with 116 points and third among defensemen with 77 assists while his 154 games played are tied for 15th in program history.
Priskie led all defenseman in the nation with 17 goals in 2018-19 and ranked fifth with 39 points after adding 22 assists. He also earned NCAA Ice Hockey Statistical Champion honors with 10 power-play goals and led ECAC Hockey with 23 power-play points.
The Bobcats reached the NCAA National Championship game during Priskie's freshman year in which he earned ECAC Hockey All-Rookie team honors when he had four goals and 22 assists for 26 points. Priskie added 26 points as a sophomore and 25 points as a junior before his career-best season in 2018-19.
Brogan Rafferty ('19)
In three years at Quinnipiac, Rafferty made his presence felt on the blue line as he racked up 65 points on 10 goals and 55 assists in 116 career games. Rafferty recorded 24 points in both his freshman and junior seasons, concluding his career with four goals and 20 assists in 2018-19.
As a junior, he earned an increased presence on the Bobcats power play and made a big impact recording three of his four goals with the man advantage. Rafferty was one of four Quinnipiac defensemen to record more than 20 points this season, finishing third with 24 points.
Rafferty came to Quinnipiac in 2016-17 and quickly got involved in the Bobcats' offense with a team-high 22 assists and totaled 24 points on the Bobcats run to the ECAC Hockey semifinals. As a sophomore in 2017-18, Rafferty doubled his goal total to four and added 13 assists before putting it all together as a junior with another 24-point season.

As a senior, he earned All-ECAC Hockey First Team honors to complete a career sweep after earning All-Rookie honors as a freshman, third team as a sophomore and second team as a junior. Priskie was a Top 10 Finalist for the 2019 Hobey Baker Award as well as a Senior CLASS Award Second Team All-American, 2018-19 All-College Hockey News Second Team, 2018-19 All-New England Division I All-Star and was a finalist for the league's Best Defensive Defenseman Award.Three more!
