Former MAAC Player of the Year Joins Cavs Summer Roster to Compete in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – Cameron Young ('19) has been officially named to the Cleveland Cavaliers 2022 Summer Roster, as announced by the team on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Young – a former AP All-American/MAAC Player of the Year – and the Cavs summer squad will join the rest of the NBA in Las Vegas on July 7 to begin NBA 2K23 Summer League action.

Young scored 1,350 total points in 70 career games for the Bobcats – setting a new career program record by averaging 19.3 points per game. He posted a Quinnipiac Division I single-season program record 728 points in 2018-19, also good for the third-most points in a season across all levels. He recorded 23.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest in 2018-19.
The 6-foot-6 wing scored the highest single-game point total in Division I basketball in 2018-19, recording an impressive 55 points on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Times Union Center vs. Siena. Young's 55 points also set a Quinnipiac Division I program record, as the graduate guard shot 15-for-24 from the floor, grabbing 10 rebounds in 53+ minutes played.
Young scored 25 points a week later in Quinnipiac's road win over Monmouth on Feb. 24, breaking his own Division I single-season scoring record (622) – which was set in 2017-18. He ended his final collegiate campaign with 728 points, scoring 23.5 points per contest. He also broke the program's Division I single-season record for 3-pointers, surpassing James Johnson's total of 84 shots from distance in 2010-11. Young made 104 3-point field goals in 2018-19.

• All 30 NBA teams will participate in the NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022 from July 7-17 in Las Vegas.
• A total of 75 games will be played in the 11-day competition.
• Each team will play a total of five games.
• Each team will play four games from July 7-15.
• The top two teams from their first four games will play in the Championship Game on July 17. Seeding for the Championship Game will be determined by winning percentage, with tiebreakers set forth below.
• The 28 teams not playing in the Championship Game will play a fifth game on either July 16 or 17.
• Consolation games will be determined by various factors, including team rivalries, broadcast interest and other scheduling considerations (e.g., timing of back-to-backs).
