HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's basketball program and Head Coach Tom Pecora announced today (April 23, 2026) the signing of forward Nas Hart.
Hart joins the Bobcats after spending his freshman season at La Salle, where he played in 20 games for the Explorers. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
"We are thrilled to welcome Nas Hart to the Quinnipiac family," said Head Coach Tom Pecora. "Nas is a versatile, high-energy forward with a great physical presence. His experience competing in the Atlantic 10 as a freshman gives him a strong foundation, and we believe his best basketball is ahead of him. He fits our culture and will be a great addition to our frontcourt."
A 6-foot-10 forward from Keyport, New Jersey, Hart appeared in 20 games for the Explorers during the 2025-26 season, making three starts. He averaged 2.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while providing a defensive presence in the paint. Hart showcased his potential late in the season, scoring a career-high nine points and grabbing six rebounds in a start against Davidson. He also recorded a career-best nine rebounds against Saint Joseph's in March.
Prior to his time at La Salle, Hart enjoyed a standout prep career at College Achieve Charter School in New Jersey. As a senior he led his team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Hart helped lead the school to a state championship in 2023-24.
Hart's size and athleticism add significant depth to the Bobcats' roster. He was the second-highest rated La Salle freshman recruit in the modern era, and was a four-star recruit (per ESPN.com & Rivals) coming out of high school.
Hart is the third addition to the Bobcats' roster heading into the 2026-27 campaign. QU announced the addition of Malik Fields during the early signing period in November, then the program signed impact transfer Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton on April 15.
