Soares recently signed with Rochester New York FC – a member of the MLS Next Pro League – back in February of 2022. Soares, a member of the Bobcats' soccer program from 2017-2021, joined Rochester New York FC ahead of the MLS Next Pro League's launch this season. The former captain played in 57 career games at Quinnipiac (2017-21). He was tabbed Second Team All-MAAC as a graduate student in 2021, after starting in all 17 games for QU. He was selected to the Spring 2021 All-MAAC Team, as well.
Soares also played for the Cape Verde National Team during his time with the Bobcats. His time with the program included a pair of games vs. Portugal in January of 2019. The midfielder had previously played with the Cape Verde U16 National Team during the 2014 Olympics.
