HAMDEN, Conn. – Anthony Donofrio and Michael Kohn homered in the contest, but it wasn't enough as the Quinnipiac baseball team fell short at home against in-state MAAC rival Fairfield at home, 13-3, on Friday afternoon at the QU Baseball Field.

With the loss the Bobcats fell to 14-29 on the season and 7-12 in the MAAC, while the Stags improved to 27-18 on the campaign and 15-4 in the MAAC with the win.

Prior to the contest, the Quinnipiac baseball team celebrated its eight graduating seniors with its annual Senior Day pregame ceremony.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Anthony Donofrio knotted the game after lining a solo homer to left. However, Fairfield plated a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to pull ahead 4-1.

The deficit proved to be too much for the Bobcats, as they eventually fell, 13-3 at home.
