QU Comes Up Short on the Road at St. John's, 7-3

QUEENS, N.Y. – Ian Ostberg led the offense with two RBIs but it wasn't enough as the Quinnipiac baseball team fell on the road against St. John's, 7-3, Saturday afternoon at Jack Kaiser Stadium.
With the loss the Bobcats fell to 5-13 on the season, while the Red Storm improved to 8-15 on the campaign with the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats struck first in the opening frame after Kyle Maves scored on an RBI groundout from Keegan O'Connor. After St. John's scored two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to take a 2-1 lead over Quinnipiac.
Trailing 2-1 entering the third, QU came away with two runs in the inning behind a two-run double from Ostberg to push the Bobcats ahead 3-2. However the Red Storm responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame, followed by a run in the fourth and fifth inning before hanging on for the 7-3 win over Quinnipiac.

- Kevin Seitter (0-4) got the start and suffered the loss after allowing six runs (two earned) in four innings of work
- Seitter recorded four strikeouts in the outing
- The Bobcats will be back in action on Sunday, March 27 when they take on the Red Storm in the finale of their three-game set
- First pitch is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN3 from Jack Kaiser Stadium
