
Eight Home Games Highlight 2023 WLAX Slate

HAMDEN, Conn. — Highlighted by eight home games, including four of its first five, the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse program and head coach Tanya Kotowicz have released the 2023 slate.
The Bobcats will spend the whole month of February in Hamden, hosting Sacred Heart (Feb. 15), Long Island (Feb. 18) and Yale (Feb. 22) to start its campaign.
After that, four of the next five will be away from home, with UMass Lowell (March 1), Holy Cross (March 8), Villanova (March 18) and CCSU (March 22) on the docket. The only home game during that stretch will be a Saturday matchup with Bryant on March 4.
MAAC play opens on the 25th, with the Bobcats welcoming the Red Foxes of Marist to town to round out the month of March.
Quinnipiac will make its annual trip to Western New York on April 1, taking on Niagara before trekking to a closer foe in Fairfield on April 5. After a home contest with Manhattan on April 8, the Bobcats head back to the Empire State for an April 12 date with Siena.
Canisius (April 15) and Iona (April 19) round out the home slate, with Mount St. Mary's (April 22) concluding the entire 2023 regular season schedule.
The MAAC Quarterfinals are slated for Sunday, April 30 at the highest seed of each matchup, while the semifinals and championship will be the following weekend at the site of the regular season champion.
On the offensive side, the Bobcats return their top seven in the points category from a season ago, while its top four in the caused turnover department also are back. Between the pipes, Kat Henselder returns after making all 16 starts a season ago.
