Bobcats Climb in Latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. — After its sweep of ECAC foes Brown and Yale, the Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team jumped a spot in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. They now sit at No. 4 in those rankings and stay put at No. 5 in the DCU/USCHO edition, according to the Monday update of both polls.
Denver, Minnesota and Michigan are the unanimous Top 3 across both, with the Pioneers receiving 44 of an available 50 first place votes in the DCU/USCHO poll and 29 of an available 34 in the USA Today/USA Hockey rankings.
Quinnipiac and St. Cloud State are flipped in each poll at No. 4 and No. 5 to round out the Top 5. In-state rivals UConn sit at No. 7/8 and ECAC rival Harvard climbed into the Top 10 of the USCHO rankings, sitting at that No. 10 spot.
The Bobcats return to action this weekend with a home-and-home against Princeton. They then travel to Belfast for the annual Harness Friendship Four, which features three ranked teams in No. 4/5 Quinnipiac, No. 13/14 UMass Lowell and No. 15/16 UMass.
