UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Quinnipiac women's soccer is set to appear in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2000, traveling to Penn State for a 1:00 PM opening round matchup on Sunday, Nov. 13.
The top-seeded Bobcats captured their first-ever MAAC title last weekend in Hamden. QU defeated No. 5 Canisius 1-0, then bested No. 3 Niagara 4-0 in the championship round to complete the historic run.

THE MATCHUP: vs. PENN STATE
- Penn State owns a 13-4-3 record heading into the NCAA Tournament. The Nittany Lions rank No. 21 nationally in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
- Ally Schlegel leads Penn State with 13 goals / 28 total points in 2022. Penn State has five players with double-digit scoring totals.
- Keeper Katherine Asman and the Penn State defense have allowed just .90 goals-against for the season.
- Quinnipiac went 9-1-0 in the 2022 regular season to earn the league's #1 seed. The Bobcats won each of their final three games of the regular season.
- QU is 43rd in the nation in RPI, the highest-ranked team in the MAAC.

- Quinnipiac has scored 2.94 goals per game so far this season – which ranks No. 3 nationally. The Bobcats rank 4th in points per game (8.39)
- Rebecca Cooke leads the entire country with 22 goals.
- Courtney Chochol has 13 assists, the fourth-highest total in the country.
- Cooke currently leads the country in goals (22). She has 51 total points so far during the 2022 season.
- Cooke went 11 consecutive games with a goal from 8/25 – 10/12, and has six multi-goal games to date.
- The junior recorded 11 goals in MAAC regular season play for the Bobcats.
- Junior forward Rebecca Cooke has earned the MAAC Golden Boot Award, as announced by the league office on Monday, Oct. 31.
- 10 Bobcats earned All-MAAC status in total – with seven QU players making the league's First Team. The Bobcats placed more student-athletes on All-MAAC teams than any other institution.

- Dave Clarke enters his 23rd season at Quinnipiac.
- Clarke has firmly cemented himself as one of the premiere college coaches in the NCAA's highest division. He led the Bobcats to an NCAA Tournament berth in 2000 and a regular season title in 2001, and is the winningest coach in QU program history.
- The Bobcats 2022 fall schedule features 16 total contests, including eight home games at the QU Soccer Stadium in Hamden.
- The Bobcats will open the fall slate on Thursday, Aug. 18 on the road against Lafayette. Quinnipiac then returns to Hamden for its home opener against Stony Brook on Aug. 25.
- The MAAC Tournament will take place on Oct. 30, Nov. 3 and Nov. 6 at the highest seed
- The Bobcats went 13-5-1 last year, going 7-3 in MAAC play during the fall 2021 campaign.
- Quinnipiac reached the MAAC Championship, falling against Monmouth on Nov. 7 in West Long Branch, N.J.
- QU has advanced to at least the semifinal round of the postseason MAAC Tournament in five of the last six years.
