After the Bobcats goal, the Pioneers threatened, but Quinnipiac shut down any chance Sacred Heart had to keep it a one-goal lead at the halftime break.

The second half was very even, with each team recording four shots and earning three corners each. However, the Bobcats continued to neutralize any threat from Sacred Heart as Quinnipiac held on for the 1-0 win.
