Cooke Earns Golden Boot, 10 Bobcats Earn All-MAAC Status

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac women's soccer junior forward Rebecca Cooke has earned the MAAC Golden Boot Award, as announced by the league office on Monday, Oct. 31.
10 Bobcats earned All-MAAC status in total – with seven QU players making the league's First Team. The Bobcats placed more student-athletes on All-MAAC teams than any other institution.

Rebecca Cooke: Golden Boot/All-MAAC First Team
Cooke currently leads the country in goals (19). She has 45 total points so far during the 2022 season. Cooke went 11 consecutive games with a goal from 8/25 – 10/12, and has five multi-goal games to date. The junior recorded 11 goals in MAAC play for the Bobcats.
Courtney Chochol: All-MAAC First Team
Chochol leads the Bobcats in assists (13) and ranks second in total points (23). Chochol scored twice in the Bobcats opener (8/25) and twice vs. Niagara (9/17).
Markela Bejleri: All-MAAC First Team
The Toronto, Ontario-native started in 13 games for the Bobcats, recording one goal and six assists for eight total points. Bejleri was an All-MAAC Second Team honoree in 2021.
Olivia Scott: All-MAAC First Team
Scott started in all 16 games for QU this year, scoring five goals to go along with two helpers for 12 total points. The senior scored all five of her goals over the last three contests of the regular season for QU.
Emely van der Vliet: All-MAAC First Team
The junior played in all 16 games for QU, recording six total points on one goal and four helpers. Van der Vliet's goal came on 10/1 vs. Fairfield.
Kayla Mingachos: All-MAAC First Team
Mingachos helped anchor the Bobcats' defense, playing in 15 of 16 games. She also recorded three goals and four assists to finish fifth on the team in points (10).
Emely DeNunzio: All-MAAC First Team
The graduate student played in all 16 games for the Bobcats, recorded the second-most minutes on the pitch (1,298). She assisted a goal against Rider (10/12).
Lauren Triglione: All-MAAC Second Team
Triglione played in all 16 games for QU, finishing with 1,281 total minutes played (third-highest total on the team). She scored vs. Marist (10/5).
Sofia Lospinoso: All-MAAC Second Team
Lospinoso played in 15 total games, making 42 saves during that span. She allowed just 14 total goals, and posted a 12-2-1 record.
Paige LaBerge: All-MAAC Third Team
The senior tallied four goals and three assists for 11 points for the Bobcats. She played in 15 games, logging 820 total minutes.

Quinnipiac women's soccer posted a 13-2-1 overall record during the 2022 regular season, going 9-1-0 in MAAC play to earn the league's top overall seed heading into the postseason tournament. The No. 1 Bobcats will host No. 5 Canisius in the MAAC Semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 3 in Hamden (2:00 PM).
