Women's Lacrosse Earns Five All-MAAC Selections

Three Bobcats Selected to the All-MAAC Second Team and All-Rookie Team
EDISON, N.J. – Five Quinnipiac women's lacrosse players have earned All-MAAC honors, as announced by the conference office on Thursday, April 29.
Sophia Iaccino, Julia Steneck and Megan Szawlowski were selected to the All-MAAC Second Team.
Iaccino is among the MAAC leaders in multiple stats. She is sixth ground balls per game, fourth in caused turnovers per game and third in draw controls per game. Her 55 draw controls, 29 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers all lead the Bobcats. She is tied for the second most goals on the team with 22.
Steneck has been a staple on the defensive end for the Bobcats all season long. She is seventh in the MAAC in ground balls per game and her 27 ground balls is tied for the second most on the team. She has also caused seven turnovers this season.
Szawlowski leads Quinnipiac in goals with 33, assists with 14 and points with 47. She is fifth in the conference in goals per game, sixth in assists per game, fourth in points per game and she leads the conference in shots per game.
Quinnpiac also had three selections to the MAAC All-Rookie Team. Steneck was also selected to the rookie team, alongside Kalie Moore and Maddie Noel.
Moore has been a strong presence in the midfield for the Bobcats in the 2021 campaign. She has picked up 13 ground balls, recorded 10 draw controls and caused nine turnovers. She has also scored five goals and dished out two assists for seven points.
Noel, a MAAC Rookie of the Week selection earlier this season has scored 14 goals, the sixth most on the team and added four assists for 18 points.
Quinnipiac also placed 20 student-athletes on the MAAC All-Academic Team, which can be found HERE.
The Bobcats now look forward to the MAAC Quarterfinals, as they travel to Niagara to take on the Purple Eagles on Saturday, May 1.
