Quinnipiac Remains Perfect in MAAC Play, Edges Siena

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's tennis earned a 7-0 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Tennis Courts in Hamden, cruising past Siena to remain perfect in MAAC play.

Hielke Moore, Kemal Karagozoglu, Austin Yannone and Aleksa Martinovic all won two matches for the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac honored its three seniors (Patrick Cachapero, Austin Yannone, Hielke Moore) ahead of the match.

Austin Yannone/Aleksa Martinovic picked up QU's first win of the day, cruising to a 6-2 win at the No. 2 doubles spot to improve to 4-0 as a tandem.
Hielke Moore/Kemal Karagozoglu played their first doubles match of the year together, earning a 6-2 win in the No. 1 position against Del Olmo/Lopez Torres of Siena.
Patrick Cachapero/Shaurya Sood won 6-3 over Kuczynski/Mendoza – earning their second win as a duo.
Hielke Moore won his third match of the year. He improved to 2-2 from the No. 1 singles spot this year, topping Del Olmo 6-3, 6-1.
Ayato Arakaki won the Bobcats' second singles match of the day, finishing with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Arakaki is a perfect 4-0 in singles matchups.
Kemal Karagozoglu won at the No. 4 position, his third singles win of the year. He battled to a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Nardone.
Alester Magalit earned QU's fifth point. He's 5-1 in singles action after defeating Lopez Torres in three sets: 6-4, 4-6, 10-6
Aleksa Martinovic won in three sets from the No. 5 spot, earning his fourth singles W of the campaign.
Austin Yannone added his fourth singles win, as well, winning in three sets at the No. 6 position. Yannone won 6-4, 3-6, 10-1.
