Quinnipiac Wins Four Singles Matches

North Haven, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's tennis kicked off the 2021 spring season in impressive fashion on Sunday evening at the North Haven Health & Racquet Club, topping Colgate 4-3.

The Bobcats picked up four points in singles play to earn the win. Alester Magalit clinched the victory with a three-set win at No. 2 singles.

NOTES

2018-19 MAAC Rookie of the Year Alester Magalit won 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in No. 2 singles, earning his 30^th career singles win.
Ayato Arakaki earned a decisive 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 3 singles, his first win as a Quinnipiac student-athlete.
Patrick Cachapero won in three sets, taking the No. 4 singles point. The graduate student had six singles wins in 2019-20.
Austin Yannone won in straight sets at No. 6 singles. He had six singles wins last year.
Aleksa Martinovic and Austin Yannone earned a win at No. 2 doubles, their second win as a duo in as many years.
