Vasile Captures Second MAAC Player of the Week Award

QU Women's Tennis Wins 3rd Straight Weekly Award
Edison, N.J. – Quinnipiac women's tennis senior Dominique Vasile has been named MAAC Player of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league on March 31, 2021.
Vasile went 4-0 this past week for the Bobcats in a pair of wins. She won a pair of matches at both No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles.
She began the week earning a pair of wins against Rider. Vasile topped Garofoli in straight sets (6-1, 6-4), then teamed up with Stephanie Yanosov to earn a 6-0 win in doubles against Cheverie/Garofoli.
Vasile then won the Bobcats' match-clincher against Bryant from the No. 3 singles spot – 6-1, 7-6 (6) – over Oropeza. She also teamed up with Yanosov to win another doubles match (6-4, 6-3) over Oropeza/Rondini
The Bobcats' senior is now 5-1 in singles action so far this season, and 4-2 alongside Yanosov in doubles matches.
Quinnipiac has now won each of the last three MAAC Player of the Week honors. Sophomore Claire Koscielski captured the award last Wednesday, March 24. Vasile has now won the award twice this season. She also earned MAAC Player of the Week honors on Wednesday, March 17.
