Women's soccer wins first game vs Monmouth since 2015

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - The Quinnipiac women's soccer team took down the Monmouth Hawks in a thrilling 1-0 win on the road Saturday evening. Junior Emily Loney scored the game-winning goal late in the second half. The Bobcats snapped the Hawks' 26-game unbeaten streak versus MAAC opponents and a 17-game unbeaten streak on their home turf.

This is the first win for Quinnipiac against Monmouth in six years with the last win coming on Oct. 10, 2015. The last MAAC game the Hawks lost came against Rider on Sept. 16, 2018. Monmouth was unbeaten in its last 19 consecutive games (15-0-3) and had not lost to a MAAC opponent in 26 consecutive games.
