HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer has received a commitment from Ole Kristian Frigstad, as announced by Head Coach Eric Da Costa and the Bobcats on Tuesday, March 16.
Frigstad joins the Bobcats from Start IK Norwegian U19 program, the top division team in Norway. He spent years with the program while growing up, helping lead the U16 squad to the finals of the Norwegian National Championship at just 14 years of age.
"Ole is exactly what we look for when adding people to our program," Da Costa said. "Not only is he an extremely talented player, but he is equally gifted in the classroom. Ole has a great demeanor, he is humble, driven, and fiercely competitive. I have no doubt he will be a tremendous teammate and will be a valuable member of our campus community. We all look forward to welcoming Ole and his family into ours this August."
"Quinnipiac seems like a beautiful University. It has amazing facilities, a great environment and an excellent location," Frigstad explained. "What really stood out to me was how thorough the coaching staff was. They really wanted to get to know me, and it seemed like the perfect place for me to pursue both my athletic and academic goals and dreams."
Frigstad will join the Bobcats in the fall of 2021.
