Sophomore Goalie's Diving Save PIcked as No. 10 Play of the Day
HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac women's lacrosse sophomore goalie Kat Henselder was featured on Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays for her diving save against Canisius on Friday afternoon. Her incredible save was chosen as the No. 10 play of the day.
With just under two minutes remaining before halftime, the Lindenhurst, N.Y. native made a diving save that preserved the Bobcats' 7-4 lead. Canisius had the ball on the right side of the crease, made a quick pass to the middle of the field and Henselder sprawled out and made the save with her stick.
The Bobcats held on to win the contest, 13-10, to register the win in their home opener.
Quinnipiac returns to action on Friday, March 19 as it welcomes Iona to Hamden for a conference matchup. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
