Bobcats Earn #2 Rank in Both National Polls
HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac men's ice hockey cracked the top two in the national rankings by earned the No. 2 slot in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. This marks the highest slot that Quinnipiac has achieved since being ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 2015-16 season. That season, the Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four and the National Championship game.
Goaltender Yaniv Perets posted two more shutouts in last weekend's action, running his season total to six and dropping his nation-leading goals against average to 0.86.
Quinnipiac will play two more games before going on a three-week hiatus over the Winter Break. The two contests will come in the form of a home-and-home weekend series with LIU on Friday, December 10 in Brooklyn and Saturday, December 11 in Hamden. Friday's game starts at 7:45 PM and Saturday's tilt will begin at 7:00 PM.
