20-Event Slate Begins on Jan. 22 at Harvard
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's tennis has announced its schedule for the upcoming spring, as announced by Director of Tennis Operations/Women's Tennis Head Coach Paula Miller and the program on Wednesday, Dec. 22.
The Bobcats' spring slate features 20 total events. Quinnipiac returns to action for the spring on Jan. 22 at Harvard, then plays again on Jan. 23 at Yale. QU's first home match of the spring is set for Jan. 30, as the Bobcats host Rhode Island in North Haven.
"We have a great group of student-athletes heading into the spring season, and we're all really looking forward to getting back on the courts. We start off the season at Harvard and at Yale. We put in a tough non-conference schedule this year, which will help us get ready for MAAC matches in March and April."
MAAC play will begin at Rider on March 27. The Bobcats will also host Niagara (April 2), Monmouth (April 5) and Marist (April 9) in league play, as all three of those matches will take place at Guilford Racquet Club. QU will then wrap up the regular season at Fairfield (April 13) and Siena (April 16).
The 2021 MAAC Tournament is set for April 22-24 at Mercer County Tennis Center in New Jersey.
Quinnipiac competed in four separate events during the fall season – Quinnipiac Hidden Duals (Sept. 17-19), Yale Hidden Duals (Sept. 24-26), ITA Regionals (Oct. 1-3), URI Doubles Tournament (Oct. 9).
Quinnipiac women's tennis has captured five MAAC Tournament titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18) under Head Coach Paula Miller.
Miller has helped lead the Bobcats' women's program to 86 wins since 2013-14, as the program tallied 10+ wins each season from 2013-2019. Quinnipiac went 43-0 in regular season MAAC matches during that span.
The Bobcats went 9-5 (6-0 MAAC) in 2020-21, falling in the MAAC title match vs. Siena.
