
Tomsik Records 5 Points, Bobcats Fall at Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse fell in a tightly contested non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at in-state foe Fairfield by the final score of 19-15.
The Bobcats scored six times over the first seven minutes of the contest, cruising out to an early 6-1 advantage. Fairfield outscored QU 13-4 in the second half, though, earning the comeback win.
Jake Tomsik led the way with four goals and a helper, and Demitri George won 25-of-36 battles in the face-off x.

- Will Abbott stayed hot, chipping in with two goals and two assists for four points. He has 11 goals and three assists this year.
- First Year Jake Tellers added two goals and an assist. He now has six goals over his first five collegiate contests.
- Demitri George won 25 of 36 face-off battles, giving him a .606 face-off winning percentage in 2020. George also picked up 19 ground balls.
- George and Tyler DeVito also added two goals apiece
- Sophomore Nick DiMuccio made 12 more saves. He entered the matchup ranking inside the Top 10 nationally in saves per game.
- Total shots were 53-46 in favor of Quinnipiac. The Bobcats went 15-of-19 on clear attempts.
- The Bobcats return to play on Saturday, Mar. 7, traveling to Long Island University for more non-conference lacrosse.
