Bobcats Return to Action Wednesday for Their Home Opener

STORRS, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team fell to the UConn Huskies on Friday by a score of 21-4. Senior attacker Megan Szawlowski netted two goals in the contest. First-year midfielder Sophia Iaccino recorded a career-high four draw controls.

HIGHLIGHTS

Senior attacker Megan Szawlowski got the Bobcats on the board as she cut the Huskies lead to 4-1 on her 10^th goal of the season.
She then scored her 11^th of the season, which capped off a 2-0 Bobcat run late in the first half. Senior attacker Ashley Bobinski scored her first goal of the season on that run, which cut the Huskies lead to 10-3.
First-year midfielder Emily Feeney kicked off the second half scoring as she scored her second goal of the year, which cut the UConn lead to 14-4.
Senior defender Victoria Bobinski caused three turnovers and picked up two ground balls.
Three Bobcats recorded assists in the game, sophomore midfielder Gabby Beckett, first-year midfielder Sophia Iaccino and senior attacker Kayla Moreau all picked up an assist in the game.

NOTES

The Bobcats forced seven turnovers in the game.
Quinnipiac converted 12 of their 14 clear attempts.
The Bobcats recorded 20 shots, with 17 of them being shots on goal.
