Lundblad Earns ECAC Hockey Player of the Week Award

Junior forward tallied five points in 2-win weekend
ALBANY, N.Y. - Junior forward Laura Lundblad earned the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week award after competition from Feb. 2-8, as announced by the league on Monday morning. Lundblad netted her first career hat trick in a 5-1 win against the RPI Engineers on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Lundblad led the Bobcats with five points in a 2-0 weekend against Union and RPI. In a 6-2 win against the Dutchwomen, Lundblad tallied two helpers on goals from senior Kati Tabin and first-year Kate Reilly. In the Bobcats' 5-1 against RPI, Lundblad recorded her first career hat trick. The Ada, Mich., native scored the eventual game-winning goal in the second period and added two more goals in the third.
The junior has recorded seven goals and five assists for 12 points this season, which is a career-high. This is the first ECAC weekly award for Lundblad and sixth for the team this season.
Quinnipiac will be back in action this weekend on the road in the North Country. The Bobcats will take on No. 6 Clarkson on Friday, Feb. 14 in Potsdam, N.Y. Quinnipiac will finish the road trip at St. Lawrence on Saturday, Feb. 15.
