Bobcats Picked Behind Defending Champion Albany
The Bobcats were led in the fall season by two-time All-MAAC golfer Queenie Lai and rookies Kaylee Sakoda and Leeyen Peralta.
The Bobcats spring schedule opens opens today and tomorrow at the FAU Winter Warm-Up, hosted by Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
Defending champion Albany received 77 points in the poll and six first-place votes. The Great Danes, two-time defending MAAC champions, edged the Bobcats by four points as Quinnipiac recieved 73 points and two first-place votes.
Following Quinnipiac with one first-place vote is the University of Dayton (62) in third, the University of Hartford (53) placed fourth, and Siena (39) was picked fifth. Selected sixth was Monmouth (38), followed by Niagara (28), Fairfield (26), and La Salle (9).
The 2020 MAAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships return to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL for the fifth consecutive year.
