Bobcats Remain in 1st Place at MAAC Championships

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program sits in first place at the conclusion of the second round of the 2026 MAAC Championships in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Quinnipiac grouping shot a 286 (-2) in the second round, giving them a two-round total of 585 (+9). Quinnipiac will head into the final round eight strokes clear of second-place Fairfield.
Sophia Fujita is currently the leader in the field with a two-round total score of 142 (-2). Fujita had a tremendous day for the Bobcats, shooting a 69 (-3) in the second round.
Samantha Galantini also shot a 69 (-3) on the second day of the MAAC Championships and currently sits tied for second place. Galantini will head into the final round with a total score of 143 (-1).
Natalie Spiska was consistent throughout, shooting a 72 (E) in the second round. Spiska sits in fifth place with a total score of 148 (+4) heading into the final round of the week.
Vaidehi Shah and Marisa Flores round out the Quinnipiac grouping in a tie for 15th place. Shah shot a 76 (+4) in the second round, while Flores carded a 77 (+5). Both Shah and Flores will go into the final round with a score of 153 (+9).
The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow, April 23rd, as they play the final round at the 2026 MAAC Championships at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
