Bobcats Claim Second Straight MAAC Tournament Title

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women's golf program claimed its second straight MAAC title and seventh overall after shooting a tournament total of 885 (+21). The Bobcats finished three strokes ahead of second-place Fairfield (888, +24).
Sophia Fujita claimed her second straight McLeod Trophy, dominating the field with a three-round total of 212 (-4). Fujita finished the tournament strong, carding a 70 (-2) in the final round on Thursday.
Samantha Galantini finished her third MAAC Tournament in a tie for fifth place with a tournament total score of 222 (+6). Galantini shot a 79 (+7) in the final round at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
Natalie Spiska closed out her second MAAC tournament with a total score of 226 (+10). Spiska closed out the tournament strong, shooting a 78 (+6) on Thursday.
Marisa Flores finished two strokes behind Spiska and completed her second MAAC tournament in a tie for 15th place. Flores carded a 75 (+3) on the final 18 holes on Thursday, giving her a three-round total of 228 (+12).
Vaidehi Shah closed out the Quinnipiac grouping in a tie for 20th place (230, +14). Shah closed out play at the 2026 MAAC Championships with a score of 77 (+5) in the final round.
The Bobcats will find out their regional destination during the NCAA Selection Show on Wednesday, April 29th, at 4 PM on the Golf Channel.

SCORES AND NOTES
- Quinnipiac won its second straight MAAC Championship and seventh overall. The Bobcats shot an 885 (+21) in the three-round tournament.
- Sophia Fujita became the first Bobcat to win the McLeod Trophy in back-to-back seasons and is the first women's golfer to do so since Katelyn Mannix (Siena), who did it in 2008 and 2009.
- Fujita set a new MAAC record with her three-round total of 212 (-4), breaking Fuge Zhang's record (214, -2) that was set at the 2023 MAAC Championships.
- Fujita's best round of the tournament came on day two as she shot a 69 (-3) in the second round.
- Samantha Galantini's best round of the 2026 MAAC Championships came in round two, shooting a 69 (-3).
- Natalie Spiska's second round score of 72 (E) stood as her best round throughout the week.
- Marisa Flores saved her best round of the weekend for the final day, shooting a 75 (+3) in the third round.
- Vaidehi Shah had her best round come on day two as she shot a 76 (+4) in the second round.
- Quinnipiac punched its ticket to its second straight NCAA Tournament.
