Bobcats Compete at BU John Thomas Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. – The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University on Friday, Jan. 24. The Bobcats saw solid individual performances from junior Britney Del Mundo and first-years Tara Zeni and Camille Sweet in the triple jump and long jump events.

Sophomore Symone Foster recorded a time of 8.89 in the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles invitational, finishing in seventh to qualify for the finals. She took eighth in the finals with a time of 8.85.
First-year Camille Sweet tallied a time of 9.37 in the 60m hurdle finals, finishing in 11th place.
Junior Edwina Gulama took 30th place in the 60m dash finals with a time of 8.39.
In the 200m dash, sophomore Kalli'ana Botelho recorded a 17th place finish with a time of 25.12.
Senior Meaghan Scullin finished in 20th place in the 400m dash (57.33).
The team of Scullin, senior Melissa Solomon, Ahmetra Davies and Eileen Donovan took 11th place in the 4x400m relay (3:55.98).

Field Results

Junior Britney Del Mundo won the triple jump with a 12.06m leap. Sweet finished in 10th place with a 11.22m mark. First-year Tara Zeni took 14th with a 11.15m mark.
In the long jump, Zeni recorded a 5.68m jump, taking fourth place. In the same event, Sweet notched a 5.29m jump good for 13th place. Scullin recorded a 5.20m jump and finished in 17th place.
Senior Mikah Maples finished in 10th place with a 12.58m throw in the shot put.
