Indoor Track & Field Takes on Great Dane Classic

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team was back in action at the Great Dane Classic on Saturday, Jan. 11. Nine different Bobcats placed within the top ten spots of their respective events.

Track Results

Senior Meghan Curtin took third in the 800m finals with a time of 2:15.92.
In the same event, junior Brooke Hagen recorded a time of 2:19.60 in sixth place. Senior Ahmetra Davies took seventh with a time of 2:20.69 in the 800m.
Sophomore Symone Foster tallied a time of 8.76 in the 60m hurdle finals, taking fourth place overall.
Sophomore Emily Young recorded a fifth-place finish in the 1-mile run (5:04.59).
In the 400m dash, senior Melissa Solomon recorded a time of 59.45, which was good for seventh place.
Junior Karissa Laramie ran a new personal-best time in the 500m (1:19.67), placing 16th.
First-year Marisa Keiser took 13th in the 3000m run (10:30.56).

Field Results

First-year Tara Zeni took fifth place in the long jump finals with a leap of 5.53m.
Junior Britney Del Mundo recorded a sixth-place finish in the triple jump (11.37m), which ties her career best.
Senior Mikah Maples tallied a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a 12.20m toss.
In the high jump, first-year Kalleen Ozanic took 11th place with a 1.50m jump.
