Indoor Track & Field Set for Sorlien Invitational at URI

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac indoor track & field team is set to compete at the Sorlien Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18. URI will host the event at the Mackal Field House in Kingston, R.I. Athletes from Quinnipiac, Assumption, MIT, Massachusetts, Southern Connecticut State University, and Stonehill will be competing in the invitational.

Nine different Bobcats placed within the top ten spots of their respective events at the Great Dane Classic held on Jan. 11. Senior Meghan Curtin took third in the 800m finals with a time of 2:15.92. Sophomore Symone Foster tallied a time of 8.76 in the 60m hurdle finals, taking fourth place overall. First-year Tara Zeni took fifth place in the long jump finals with a leap of 5.53m.
Senior Meaghan Scullin and sophomore Kalli'ana Botelho competed in the Harvard Multi Meet pentathlon on Friday, Jan. 10. Scullin took fifth place overall with 3307 points, which sets a new school record. Botelho took 10th place overall with 3176 points.
