Bobcats Schedule Features NCAA Rematch at Arizona State Plus 16 Home Games

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's ice hockey head coach Rand Pecknold has announced the team's schedule for the 2019-20 season, featuring an NCAA Tournament rematch with Arizona State as well as 16 home games.

The Bobcats schedule includes matchups with five teams that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Tournament, including runner-up UMass with the annual home-and-home series between the two teams on Nov. 29-30.
Quinnipiac opens the season with a Sunday exhibition game on Oct. 6 against the Brock Badgers at 4 p.m. before opening up the 2019-20 season with a home-and-home series against AIC, with the home opener set for Friday, Oct. 11 against the Yellow Jackets at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats continue their early four-game homestand with home games against Maine and Vermont before traveling out to Arizona State to open up November in a rematch of their 2019 NCAA Tournament First Round matchup.
Quinnipiac kicks off ECAC Hockey play at Dartmouth on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. and open up the home ECAC Hockey slate against Union a week later on Nov. 15.
The Bobcats close out November with three road games at Cornell and Colgate as well as the home-and-home series with national runner-up UMass on Nov. 29-30. Last season, the Bobcats took the home game with the Minutemen in a decisive 4-0 shutout in front of sold-out crowd of 3,625 before facing UMass at the Mullins Center for their first shutout in 18 years.
Following a month break, Quinnipiac returns to ECAC Hockey play with six straight league games and kick off the stretch with a home-and-home against Princeton which closes out the 2019 calendar year on Dec. 28 and 29.
Quinnipiac travels to Holy Cross on Jan. 17 for a non-conference matchup before competing in the first annual Connecticut Ice Festival on Jan. 25-26. Yale, UConn and Sacred Heart are all competing in the weekend tournament to celebrate hockey in Connecticut.
The Bobcats return back home on January 31 against Cornell to kick off the final 10 game stretch in ECAC Hockey play. The 18th annual Heroes Hat game against the Yale Bulldogs is set for Feb. 29, 2020 for the final game of the regular season. It will be Quinnipiac's first game on Feb. 29 since 2008.
