Former Northwestern Forward Immediately Eligible for 2019-20
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's basketball team has received a commitment from former Northwestern forward Aaron Falzon, as announced by Head Coach Baker Dunleavy and the program on May 20, 2019.
Falzon – a graduate transfer – will join the Bobcats ahead of the 2019-20 season and is immediately eligible to play.
"The Quinnipiac basketball family is thrilled to announce the addition of Aaron Falzon as a graduate student athlete," Dunleavy said. "Aaron will immediately impact our program and the QU community with his talent, character, and team-first approach. We look forward to Aaron joining us this summer and helping us develop into a championship program."
Falzon played in 80 games during his four years in Evanston while making 43 total starts. The 6-foot-8 forward made 29 starts as a freshman in 2015-16 with the Wildcats, recording 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest. Falzon scored 491 career points at Northwestern and made 118 3-point field goals. He scored a career-high 21 points on Jan. 22, 2019 vs. Indiana, going 6-for-7 from distance in just 20 minutes played.
Falzon is a former four-star recruit out of Northfield Mount Hermon High School, and was rated the 75th best player in the Class of 2015, according to ESPN. He is the fourth new addition to the Quinnipiac men's basketball roster for the upcoming 2019-20 season. The Bobcats have announced the additions of both Brendan McGuire, Seth Pinkney, and Jamil Riggins already – as all three will enter the new season as a freshman.
