Samoskevich Named to the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Quinnipiac women's ice hockey senior Melissa Samoskevich was named to the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship roster, as announced by USA Hockey on March 1. The U.S. Women's National Team will compete in the World Championships April 4 to 14 at the Metro Areena in Espoo, Finland.
Twenty-three players make up the roster, including 14 players who helped the U.S. win gold at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. Nine different states are represented on the team, with Samoskevich as the only player from Connecticut.
Samoskevich recently competed with the U.S. Women's National Team at the Four Nations Cup Nov. 6-10 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The senior forward scored two goals and helped the team win gold in the finals against Canada.
