Seven runners to compete at Northeast Regionals
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's cross country program is set to compete at the 2019 NCAA Regionals on Friday, Nov. 15 in Buffalo, N.Y. Seven runners from the women's team will be competing including first-years Clare Veverka, Shannon Goria, sophomore Emily Young, junior Amanda Carlson, seniors Morgan Voight, Meghan Curtin and Amy Laverty. The University of Buffalo will host the Northeast Regional at the Audubon Golf Course.

The Bobcats took fifth place of 11 teams at the 2019 MAAC Championships on Nov. 2. Sophomore Emily Young finished first for the Bobcats with a time of 22:28.24 in 11th place overall. Young and senior Morgan Voight were named to the All-MAAC Team after the conference championship.
NCAA Championship Qualifying Rules
The top two finishers of each regional automatically qualify for the national championships, equating to 18 immediate team qualifiers with nine regionals taking place. Four of the top individuals who do not finish on a qualifying team will also advance. The remaining 13 at-large teams and two additional individuals will be selected by the NCAA DI Cross Country Subcommittee. A total of 255 participants will be at the nationals championships.
