ORLANDO, Fla. – The Quinnipiac softball team fell to George Washington 3-1, on Sunday, Feb. 18, to conclude play at the D9 Orange Blossom Tournament. Five different Bobcats recorded a hit in the loss, with Keilani Finley being the only Quinnipiac player with more than one hit.

NOTES

Casey Herzog (Wappinger Falls, New York) got the loss in the outing.
Herzog pitched a complete-game, gave up only two earned runs and struck out four batters.
Five different Quinnipiac players recorded a hit with Keilani Finley (Alameda, California) being the lone Bobcat to record multiple hits.
Rebecca Drake (Whiting, New Jersey) drove in Quinnipiac's lone run.
The Bobcats got on the board first after Miranda Magana (Santa Paula, California) led the first inning off with a single, then two batters later Drake doubled to left center to drive in Magana.
George Washington responded with a run in the top of the second and two runs in the top of the third inning.
The Bobcats threatened in the bottom of the second after Finley hit a one-out double, however no one was able to drive her home.

The Bobcats will be back in action when they travel to Baltimore, Maryland to take part in the Towson Invitational from Friday, Mar. 2 - Sunday, Mar. 4.
