Men's Ice Hockey Continues Climb Up National Rankings

Bobcats Up to No. 13 in USCHO.com Division I Poll, Remain No. 12 in USA Today Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team continued its ascent up the national rankings this week as the Bobcats were ranked No. 13 in the USCHO.com Division I Men's Poll while remaining No. 12 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll, as announced Thursday afternoon.
Quinnipiac received six more points in the USCHO.com Poll to check in at 333 this week, up from 327 the week before. The Bobcats received 132 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll, just five points fewer from the previous week.
The Bobcats are coming off a weekend split to open ECAC Hockey play where they picked up a 5-3 victory at Harvard on Friday night before falling at Dartmouth, 5-1.
Chase Priskie (Pembroke Pines, Florida) extended his consecutive games with a goal streak to five. He currently leads ECAC Hockey with six goals on the season and is tied for fourth in the nation.
Priskie also tied the Division I program record for goals by a defenseman with his 28th career goal, previously set by Dan Ennis '03. He is now 10 away from tying the all-time program record of 38 held by Ed Muzyka '86.
Odeen Tufto (Chaska, Minnesota) also extended his point streak to four games with points in both games over the weekend and now has a point in six of the seven games so far this season.
Brogan Rafferty (Dundee, Illinois) also had a standout game at Harvard as he recorded his second career three-point game with three assists before adding a fourth one on the weekend at Dartmouth on Saturday night.
The Bobcats return to action this week as they face the Rensselaer Engineers Friday night at 7 p.m. before hosting the No. 12/13 Union Dutchmen in the first home ECAC Hockey weekend of the season.
