BACK TO WORK
The Quinnipiac men's tennis team is back in action, as the Bobcats head to West Point, New York to take on Binghamton University and Army West Point on Sunday, April 2.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton owns a 4-10 record and have lost their last five contests. The Bearcats have earned wins over Drexel, VCU, St. Bonaventure and Niagara.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
Army West Point owns a 14-8 record so far this season and has won its last four contests. The Black Knights are undefeated in Patriot League play, sweeping all four of its opponents in matches.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time Quinnipiac took the court, the Bobcats defeated former NEC rival Sacred Heart, 5-2 in the spring home opener at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Freddie Zaretsky (Fair Lawn, New Jersey), Axel Stern (Tustin, California), Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) all earned two victories apiece in the contest.

Ezaka comes into the matchups with the chance to tie and set the program-record for wins. Ezaka currently has 136 career wins, which is second all-time in program history and one win away from tying the program record of 137 wins held by John Hughes '10. Ezaka has 68 singles wins, which is second all-time and 68 doubles wins, which is third all-time in program history.
MAAC MANIA
In the Bobcats' three MAAC dual matches, they have gone 27-0 in competition. The team has posted a 18-0 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and 9-0 in doubles competition.
ALL GOOD FROM SPOT ONE
The Bobcats have had major success from the No. 1 spot in doubles matches, going 9-3 in those matches.
JOIN THE 10 CLUB
Three Bobcats have already reached at least 10 singles wins on the season as Ezaka leads the team with 14 wins on the season. Rozenstein is second with 12 wins, Stern has 11 wins and Zaretsky has 10.
However, Quinnipiac has three players that are four or less singles wins away from 10 on the season. Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland) has nine wins, Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California) has eight wins and Jackson Koke (Calgary, Alberta) has six.
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
No matter if it is a singles or doubles match, in matches where he is in the No. 3 draw, Stern is undefeated (3-0).
CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING
Of the 16 different doubles' duos that have played together, 11 of them have a winning record.
HEATING UP
The doubles team of Rozenstein and Zaretsky own a 4-1 record together and have won their last three matches.
FEARSOME FRESHMEN
The duo of Stern and Yannone owns a record of 11-6, which is tops on the team by six wins.
KEI TO SUCCESS
The duo of Kei Ezaka and Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) has won four straight doubles matches, which is the longest active doubles win-streak on the team. The duo of Ezaka and Zaretsky has also won three straight doubles matches.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Following the matches against Binghamton and Army West Point, the Quinnipiac men's tennis team will be back in action on Wednesday, March 5, when the Bobcats travel Poughkeepsie, New York to take on MAAC foe Marist at 3 p.m.
