
QU Men's Tennis Falls to Buffalo on the Road

BUFFALO, New York - The Quinnipiac men's team lost in a tough road out of conference matchup against Buffalo, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss the Bobcats fall to 5-4 (3-0 MAAC), while Buffalo improves to 3-2.
The day began with the No. 1 doubles match, where the Quinnipiac duo of Freddie Zaretsky (Fair Lawn, New Jersey) and Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) fell to Villhelm Fridell and Filip Grbic, 7-6. Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) and Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) fell in the No. 3 doubles match to Tony Miller and Ethan Nittolo, 6-3. The Bobcat duo of Axel Stern (Tusti, California) and Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland) fell to Peter Vodak and Vidit Vaghela, 6-2, giving Buffalo a 1-0 lead going into singles play.
Quinnipiac couldn't gain momentum going into singles play as they dropped six straight matches. In the No. 4 singles draw, Stern lost in straight sets to Vodak, 6-4 and 6-0. Ezaka fell in his match against Hao Sheng Koay in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-1. In the No. 3 draw, Rozenstein lost to Grbic, 6-3, 7-6 (3) in straight sets. Zaretsky fell to Vaghela in a back and forth two sets, 7-5 and 7-5. Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California) fell to Miller in straight sets, 7-5 and 6-2. The day ended after Alper fell to Nittolo in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, March 11, when they travel to Hempstead, New York to take on Hofstra at noon.
