QU Women's Ice Hockey Falls to #8/8 Cornell, 5-2, in ECAC Road Opener

Ithaca, New York – In their first road ECAC contest, the Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team was defeated by the #8/8 Cornell Big Red, 5-2, on Friday night. Kenzie Prater and Melissa Samoskevich scoring their first goals of the season would not be enough for the Bobcats.

- Junior captain Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Connecticut) scored her first goal of the season. The goal is the 27th of her Quinnipiac career.
- Samoskevich is now tied for the team lead in points (5) with junior Kenzie Lancaster (Waxhaw, North Carolina) and freshman Brooke Bonsteel (Mississauga, Ontario).
- Sophomore Kenzie Prater (Hudson, Wisconsin) scored her first goal of the year. The goal is her seventh at Quinnipiac.
- Freshman Taylor House (Joliet, Illinois) recorded her first assist as a Bobcat.
- Both Samoskevich and House have recorded points in consecutive games.
