Ryan Ansel (14th Place) Earns All-MAAC Honors to Lead the Bobcats
HOLMDEL, New Jersey - The Quinnipiac men's cross country team finished eighth at the 2017 MAAC Championships on Saturday afternoon from Holmdel Park in New Jersey. Junior Ryan Ansel (Danbury, Connecticut) earned All-MAAC honors for the first time in his career to lead the Bobcats and highlight the action on the day for Quinnipiac.

- Ryan Ansel's breakout junior season reached another pinnacle on Saturday as he placed 14th overall and first on the team to earn All-MAAC honors
- Ansel remarkably moved up 65 spots from his 2016 MAAC Championship result where he placed 79th overall
- His performance gives the Bobcats another All-MAAC runner, marking five straight seasons since joining the MAAC in 2013 that Quinnipiac has seen at least one runner earn All-MAAC honors
- Tommy Consalvo (Brookfield, Connecticut) also showed impressive year-to-year improvement as the sophomore claimed 25th place to finish second on the team
- Consalvo previously finished 55th at last year's MAAC title meet, moving up 30 spots from last season
- Tyler Mannion (Brookfield, Connecticut), Ben Lanza (Middletown, Connecticut) and Michael Kiernan (Warwick, Rhode Island) rounded out the Bobcats' scoring, all three of which improved their overall result from the 2016 MAAC Championship
