HOPKINTON, N.H. — Alex Saldana led the Quinnipiac men's cross country program on Friday afternoon at the New England Championships, finishing 16th to lead the Bobcats to a 14th-place finish at the event.

The sophomore finished the race in 24:51.14, leading the five scorers for the Bobcats.

Classmate Slater von Stetten continued his standout year, finishing second on the team leaderboard with a finish in 25:37.51.

Three other young runners scored for the Bobcats, with first-year Tyler Deme finishing third on the team leaderboard and sophomores Alessandro Alvarez-Tullo and Ben Bailor rounding out the top five.
