HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac women's ice hockey has been ranked No. 8 nationally in both the latest USCHO.com Poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll, as announced on Jan. 16 and Jan. 17, 2017.
The Bobcats moved up one spot in this week's USCHO.com poll after going 1-1-0 this past weekend. Quinnipiac first topped No. 8 Colgate on Friday afternoon, then fell to Cornell on Saturday on the road. The program is now 16-6-4 (9-4-2 ECAC) so far in the 2016-17 season.
Clarkson (No. 3), St. Lawrence (No. 5) and Cornell (No. 10) were the other three ECAC Hockey teams featured in the USCHO Poll.
The Bobcats first downed Colgate, 2-0, on the road in a matchup between two Top 10 teams on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.
