
QU Women's Ice Hockey Ranked No. 8 in Recent USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll

HAMDEN, Connecticut - Quinnipiac women's ice hockey has been ranked No. 8 nationally in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll, as announced on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The Bobcats are coming off two ECAC Hockey losses last weekend, falling to Clarkson on Friday, Nov. 4 and to St. Lawrence on Saturday, Nov. 5. St. Lawrence, Colgate and Clarkson are the other teams from the conference to make the Top 10.
The Bobcats first fell on Friday, Nov. 4, 4-1, to No. 8 Clarkson. Kati Tabin (Winnipeg, Manitoba) scored her first career goal in the loss. She fired a shot into the back of the net from the point with 9:46 left in the third period, with assists credited to Taylar Cianfarano (Oswego, New York) and Melissa Samoskevich (Sandy Hook, Connecticut) on the play.
Quinnipiac then dropped an ECAC game vs. St. Lawrence, 1-0, on Saturday, Nov. 5. There were no penalties called in the entire game. Quinnipiac hasn't played a penalty-free game since March. 7, 2015 vs. Harvard. Sydney Rossman (Excelsior, Minnesota) made 15 saves for the Bobcats in the loss. Rossman now has a .929 save percentage and a 1.42 goals-against average on the 2016-17 season.
Quinnipiac aims to get back on track this weekend, traveling to Dartmouth on Nov. 11 and Harvard on Nov. 12.
