Quinnipiac men's ice hockey sophomore Matthew Peca's incredible natural hat trick - the fastest hat trick in NCAA Tournament history - is currently in the running for ESPN's "Best of the Best". Vote now!
Peca's three goals in the Bobcats' win against Union came in a span of three-minutes-and-twelve seconds for the fastest hat trick in NCAA Tournament history. The second-year Bobcat also added an assist in the game, and was named the NCAA East Regional Most Valuable Player after also scoring in Quinnipiac's 4-3 win against Canisius.
Quinnipiac will head to Pittsburgh, Pa. to compete in its first NCAA Frozen Four in program history. The top-ranked, top-seeded Bobcats will take on St. Cloud State on Thursday, Apr. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Consol Energy Center.
