No. 8 Bobcats Downed in Road Contest at Union

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — The No. 8 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program was blanked for the first time this season, falling 4-0 to Union in the finale of the first half of the season on Saturday night at the M&T Bank Center.
The Garnet Chargers scored a pair of goals in each period, with a pair coming in the second off a major penalty assessed to Drew Hockley for hitting from behind.
Quinnipiac amassed 31 shots on net but were not able to beat Brayden Gillespie, who was in the net for the hosts.
Matej Marinov made 31 saves on 35 shots before he was relieved for Dylan Silverstein, who stopped all seven shots he faced.
